Beth: That's the thing about ITP, it's idiopathic; having no known cause. Not knowing is difficult for the mind. Our deeper self is better with it, so that's where you want to go.

Hi Pamir,
Interesting.
I had ITP as a child and have always felt that while the time in the hospital was difficult it shaped me in some incredibly positive ways. I've worked in yoga with inversions to get over my fear of falling. But I think the most lasting effect of having lived with ITP was the not knowing where it came from and not knowing why it left. I think this more than anything has made me uncomfortable with not knowing. And I am always looking for answers. I never actually put those two things together.

See you on Twitter ;)

Love, light and laughs,
Beth

Pamir, sounds like a very meaningful conference. Kudos to you for what is an amazing presentaion to peers. One perspective is standards for health and well-being are simply standards. They do not apply to everyone. I know an individual alive who have a platelet count as low as 9 in his blood work and physicians would have thought his condition would not have permitted him to survive. Yet, he does. Many choices exist to learn to recognize and re-establish balance in health and well-being. Traditional and unconventional appraoches exist. Every human being determines which options resonate and follows his or her own path back to wholeness.

You have made a very interesting Reiki Post about blood and your presentation "was to not become a diagnosis, a platelet count, -- except to illustrate that the cause of ITP is unknown, as is its cure."

I wonder if Reiki would help increase the chances of survival???

What do the other readers think?
